Feliz Navidad

Savvy has been a Christmas cookie making machine!  We are having a ton of fun being HOME for Christmas....this is a dream come true!!  She woke up this morning and put on a dress (Princess Aurora dress is what she called it....it is pink), grabbed a tiara (yes....she has a few to pick from....), and her Cinderella princess wand and shoes...as if today was a special day and needed to be treated as such....

I have to finish sharing the rest of the Make-A-Wish experience (thank you to all for the sweet comments in the guestbook! I love reading them always!) but we have been having a lot of fun just being home and enjoying things...we know how blessed we are to have this!

Last year I asked for a favor...I asked that you keep Emerson White in your hearts and prayers...this year I ask for the same.  She was finally home...after having 2 multi organ transplants...her brothers were going to spend Christmas with her!  A dream!  Last night she took a turn for the worse and was flown back to Omaha and is in the PICU....again.

Day 4 - Wish Day - the Transformation

DSCF0840.JPG

So our "Wish" day begins...it is a chilly day but that does not stop a thing...as I type the word Chilly I realize that there is a man standing in the background of the picture wearing a jacket and shorts with sandals...okay...so when I say, "Chilly"...I mean Chilly Willy for us Floridians :)  So we head out to Downtown Disney.  This shopping center is amazing.  I was amazed at the amount of people shopping...nothing was on sale and yet the stores were packed....uhm...recession...you would have no idea based on the people at Downtown Disney!  Well, we certainly did not want to be late so we arrived a bit early and walked around and enjoyed the sites.  Savvy was interested in one place and one place only...the "Princess" store right behind us...no interest in going anywhere else.  As I type this blog she is playing in cars with the princesses...she is so funny...she is having all kinds of conversation and making all kinds of "phone calls"....

Part 2 of Day 3 - Every Thursday Night is Christmas at the Village!!

DSCF0703.JPG

So after meeting the best furry friends ever we head back to the village and Savvy falls asleep in the car, "So Fun!" ... you would think the day is over but EVERY Thursday is Christmas at the Village.DSCF0683.JPG

So we head to the Village and Savvy wakes up....maybe with a little help from Mami who wanted her to see the festivities...

Day 3 of the Make-A-Wish Trip --- ELMO AND COOKIE MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DSCF0328.JPG

The morning of Day 3 and Savvy hears that Mickey and Minnie Mouse are at the Village....where could they be??? Hmmm...Mami and Super Papi insist we stop and eat breakfast but I want one more ride on the carousel first.

DSCF0360.JPG

Mickey, Minnie I found you!!!!  After lots of mouse hugs and kisses we took some pictures.  Minnie and Mickey signed Savvy's Mickey Mouse and she was so tickled with it...look "Minnie Mom sign"..so we head outside and who do we find just hanging out at the village?

Day 2 of the Make-A-Wish Trip

So the second day of our adventure begins and Super Papi and I are trying to figure out how in the heck we were going to get Savvy to walk past the playground in front of the Villa....seriously, it has giant lollipops luring you in...how can a 3 year old resist??????  Well...it was tough but we just kept repeating the word, "Horsey", as if it were our new family chant....yes...little one you must walk past the delicious playground and we will find horses at Keaton's Koral...walk...okay...be carried then!

When We arrived at Give Kids the World - Part 2 of the First day

DSCF0089.JPG

We arrived!!  Savvy sees where we are staying and she says, "Princess Castle"!  I think it is better then a Princess Castle!  I think this is the most magical place on earth!

DSCF0090.JPG

Before we even had time to sit down with one of the GKTW angels Savvy was on the rocking horse and exploring all of the neat things in the House of Hearts.  Just minutes before we arrived we thought she was going to fall asleep in the car..afterall it was past her naptime.  As you can see by her face...naptime...well that is not a thing that happened on this day....or any other day.

We were hungry so before heading to our Villa we head to Katie's Kitchen for a quick lunch (i.e. Boston Market)...have I mentioned how magical this village is???

Our Make-A-Wish trip

This was hands down the most amazing trip ever!  There are so many highlights that I think I will have to write this in different parts -- we just did so much INCLUDING getting stuck on the monorail when the power went out at 1 a.m....yup....have I mentioned my fear of heights and enclosed spaces????  Savvy wanted to go on the "Choo Choo" so with hesitation I got on...I mean we were at Disney...what could go wrong ? :)  But I am getting ahead of myself...lets start with the magical first day!

The "Princess Car" arrived to pick us up....I am going to have to make a video montage of so many events because her reaction throughout the trip was priceless!  Make-A-Wish sent this beautiful white limo to pick up the Princess....she loved "the big car" and the fact she could watch cartoons while it drove....well that was a huge hit!  So off to the airport we go to meet the "Princess Plane"...

The Warrior Princess is back home...

December 7, 2009

I can feel the magic in the air....close your eyes....it is there!  Imagine a little Warrior Princess with a tiara walking into the Make-A-Wish office with brownies for the wonderful wishmakers and her little eyes opening up so wide when she saw the Christmas tree at the elevator entrance..oh and the reindeers ready to be greeted with a huge dimple smile....then envision this beautiful little princesa walking in and being greeted with so much warmth when she showed off her new princess ring...yeah...this little Warrior Princess loves her bling!  She told them all how she was going to meet the princesses and Mickey!
